WHO IS FATHER ARMEL?
Father Armel Cresus Fakeye, born on May 8, 1986 in Cotonou in the Republic of Benin (West Africa), felt the call of the Lord since his youth: “I told my parents that I wanted to be a doctor and a priest.”
Immediately after graduating from high school in 2004, Armel entered the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. After 11 years of studies he was ordained a priest, and remained 3 years in the parish as assistant priest before going to study Philosophy in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He finished his studies in 2025, but in these years he did not only studied, he put into practice that call that the Lord had placed in his heart since he was a boy.
His ministry takes place through the catholic charismatic renewal through Prophetic, Kerygmatic and Charismatic preaching where each participant can experience a personal encounter with the Risen One and the outpouring of his Holy Spirit.
In 2018, he wrote his first book of poetry in French: “Les Confidences d'un prêtre, de roses et d'espérance”. In 2020, he published his second collection of poetry in Italian “Solchi stellati” and in 2022 “Ed Ella pianse”.
His first work, published in Ivory Coast, was nominated in 2020 at the "Grand Prix Littéraire du Benin" competition among the three best books in the Poetry Category and was ranked third in 2021 at the Milano International Literary Prize in the Published Works section.
